EAL is an experiential approach where individuals engage in ground-based activities with horses to support personal growth, emotional awareness, and relational skill-building. It is not therapy, but it can be deeply therapeutic.

Not exactly. While EAL can feel healing, it is not clinical therapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. It is an educational and experiential process facilitated by trained professionals. Many people find it an excellent complement to traditional therapy.

You'll engage in various guided activities designed to build relationships skills, body awareness, non verbal communication, boundaries, and trust—both with the horse and within yourself. These may include observing herd behavior, connecting through attunement and practicing consent-based interactions.  Everything is designed to be safe, grounded, and at your pace.

Not at all. No prior horse experience is necessary. Most interactions with the horses are done on the ground—there is no riding involved, however, there may be occasional somatic mounted work. Our facilitators ensure each session is safe, supportive, and accessible.

Each person’s experience is unique, but common takeaways include improved emotional regulation, greater self-awareness, enhanced communication, and a deeper connection to self and others.

Yes. Our facilitators are trained in trauma-informed practices, and the space is designed to be safe, calm, and non-judgmental. You’ll be encouraged to move at your own pace and to honor your own sense of readiness and choice.

While our sessions are designed for adults, we occasionally work with teens aged 16 and older.

You’re welcome to start with a single session to see how it feels. Ongoing sessions or group workshops are also available for those who want to go deeper over time.
